We made mistakes when it comes to decision making, says Rohit Sharma


Indian vice-captain Rohit Sharma admitted that decision-making was one of the aspects that cost India the first two games. Rohit said that team India could have played much better. India’s chances of making it to the semis of the T20 World cup remain slim at the moment. However, men in blue had started well with small hopes after a good win against Afghanistan. Rohit Sharma smashed a blistering 74 runs off 47 balls against Afghanistan and won the player of the match award.

Rohit Sharma expressed that India’s approach against Afghanistan was ideal and the same will be carried on to the next two matches. Rohit added that decision-making was a big factor behind losing the first two games, where India lost convincingly. Rohit also told that bad things can happen when you are on the road for a long time.

The hit-man admitted that team India’s tight schedule had affected the player’s mental aspect. It is so important to keep the mind fresh before playing a big tournament. Rohit added that the mental aspect was the main reason why they failed to make some good decisions. You need to get away from the bad games and freshen up your mind.

Rohit Sharma said that every time you step onto the field, you have to make the right decision. Rohit ended up that players have to stay fearless and not think about what is happening elsewhere. When you play in a World Cup event, you have to stay focused till the end. Rohit Sharma congratulated Rahul Dravid for coming back into the team as head coach.
