Indian skipper Virat Kohli said there is no reason to change anything in the team ahead of the third test at Headingley Stadium. Virat Kohli said the team management finds no reason in disturbing the winning combination, especailly after their incredible victory at the Lord’s test.

India could play the same XI that beat England by 151 runs in the second test. Virat Kohli said that the team does not intend to change a well-set combination as they look to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the five-match series. Kohli hopes that KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma will continue to provide a good start for the team.

Virat Kohli said that India can beat any team and his men will not wait for the opposition to be weak. Kohli added that the doors are not shut on inclusion of Ravichandran Ashwin in playing XI. Virat Kohli informed that the team management will assess the pitch before making a call on Ravi Ashwin.

If Ashwin comes in, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja who hasn’t looked like any threat in the last two tests will be dropped from the playing XI. Kohli intimated that none of his men have encountered any discomfort or anxiety since finishing the second test match. Kohli made it clear that he is not deliberating any change in the team that comfortably won the second test.

England looks slightly a weaker side after veteran seamer Stuart Broad was injured after the first Test. Another pacer Mark Wood also sustained an injury during the Lord’s test. The third test between India and England starts tomorrow at Headingley Stadium in Leeds.
