England v India
Ageas Bowl, Southampton
4th Test
Thursday, August 30, 11.00 local, 10.00 GMT
India might, posibaly, put forth the same XI for the first time Kohli had taken charge. Leading India to 38 Tests and
without India going out with the same 11 members as the previous Test match.
While it looks set for the visitors’, fitness of its players seems to be an issue for the host nation, with Jonny Baristow busting his finger in the course of the third Test.
Baristow wants to keep the wickets and also play in the fourth Test, if he is ready for the job and if England is going to take such a risk is to be seen.
Meanwhile Ben Stokes had not bowled during the Durham T20 Blast quarter-final against Sussex, but he should be in a position to bowl at the Ageas Bowl, which leaves a question of Chris Woakes fitness too.
Fitness of the opening pair for the English pair. England are certainly ahead but India with their win at Trent are all upbeat of taking another victory.
The two players to be looked out for would be Joe Root (England) and Ishant Sharma (India).
England: Joe Root (c), Moeen Ali, James Anderson, Jonny Bairstow, Stuart Broad, Jos Buttler, Alastair Cook, Sam Curran, Keaton Jennings, Ollie Pope, Adil Rashid, Ben Stokes, James Vince, Chris Woakes
