India captain Rohit Sharma took on the spinners in the nets ahead of the Pakistan clash

Cricket fans are eagerly waiting for a treat when India takes on arch-rivals Pakistan in their opening match of the Asia Cup 2022 on August 28. Men in blue have been sweating it out in the nets to prepare well for the highly-anticipated clash in Dubai. India captain Rohit Sharma can be seen taking on the spinners Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin in the nets. Rohit can be seen hitting big shots all around the park.

India star batter Virat Kohli was also seen practicing in the nets, whacking the spinners hard all over the ground. The former India captain, who has been struggling for runs, will be eying to get back to big scoring form in the premier continental tournament. The top-order batter looked so sharp in the nets.

Rohit and Kohli batted together against Arshdeep Singh, Jadeja, and Ashwin. The senior duo stood on either end of the pitch as if mimicking a match situation. India skipper Rohit has an excellent opportunity to break former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi’s record for the most number of sixes hit in the Asia Cup. Rohit needs six more big hits to take the pole position.

India’s bowling attack seems to be slightly weakened without pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel. India has won the last two editions of the Asia Cup, and is also the most successful side in the tournament, having won the title seven times. India seems to be the favorite as they have defeated their arch-rivals 8 times while Pakistan has secured victories in 5 matches.
