Warriors massive defeat by Munro, Ali Khan

Ali Khan and Dwane Bravo joined forces sealing  the win for Trinbago Knight Riders by defeating Guyana Amazon Warriors by a margin of 67 runs on Wednesday (6th September). The visitors could manage just 103 runs against a set target of 171 by Trinbago Knight Riders.
A brilliant 90 off 56 balls by Colin Munro was the game changer that set them up for the win. Though losing Lynn during the first over, Denesh Ramdin and Munro laid a strong ground work with a 135-run stand in 15 overs. Playing the second fiddle Ramdin played his part in their partnership ending with a 39 off 36-ball only to fall to Chris Green.
After the fall of Ramdin and Munro in four balls, the Knight Riders lost their way in capitalizing on the base built by Ramdin and Munro. Of the total of seven wickets to fall, Romario Shepherd and Sohail Tanvir shared a total of six wickets, and helped keep the opposition in check in the last four overs . But it wasn’t enough due to the second wicket stand leaving the Warriors with an overwhelming task. With Chadwick Walton and Luke Ronchi getting dismissed within the first three overs, the task in hand became grimmer. They got stuck in a jam. The only batsman who managed to score in any reasonable way was Jason Mohammed scoring a run off a-ball in 27 balls, but he found little support from any of his other teammates as Guyana Amazon Warriors swirled into defeat.
The only other person to make a mark was Roshon Primus who lifted them to 100 plus runs but it was too late as the game had already slipped out of their hands.
