India vs Sri Lanka three twenty20 internationals is to commence from January 5th – 10th. Both the team skippers had revealed the teammate’s names to play in the 2020 series.

Sri Lanka to tour India to play the series and the first match is being held at Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati. Sri Lankans travel with the sixteen-member squad for this series.

The Sri Lankan players are led by, Lasith Malinga who is right-handed batsman, but well renowned for his bowling styles. Kusal Perera, Danushka Gunathilaka, Avishka Fernando, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Oshada Fernando, Dasun Shanaka, Angelo Mathews, Niroshan Dickwella, Kusal Mendis, Wanindu Hasaranga, Lakshan Sandakan, Dhananjaya de Silva, Lahiru Kumara, Isuru Udana, and Kasun Rajith.

Kasun Rajitha is a replacement player for the Nuwan Pradeep injury which occurred during Sri Lanka versus Bangladesh series. Former Sri Lankan captain Angelo Mathews is back to the T20I squad to play against India after 2018. After their greatest batsmen retiring Mathews haven’t given in. Former captain stakes are set high again.

The Indian players to go against the Sri Lankan series is captained by Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, Sanju Samson, Rishabh Pant (wicket-keeper), Shivam Dube, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Navdeep Saini, Jasprit Bumrah and Washington Sundar.
Rohit Sharma will not be joining the T20I team as he is in the break after matches in 2019. The Lankan team will begin the tour on January 2nd, 2020.
