India will face Sri Lanka in the third and final ODI today (August 7) at the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. The Rohit Sharma-led Indian team has struggled in the series, being outmatched by a quality Sri Lankan outfit. India has thrown away the matches from dominant positions in both games thus far; the first was a thrilling tie, while Sri Lanka won the second by 32 runs.

Except Rohit, no other Indian batter has impressed so far in the series. The squad will be hoping that the batters will put their best foot forward in the third ODI and tie the series at 1–1. Given the condition of the pitch, both teams will likely have more spinners in their playing XIs. India may drop Shivam Dube and replace him with Riyan Parag to use his bowling in the match.

Kuldeep Yadav will be crucial for India in the middle overs on a spin-friendly pitch. He has an excellent record in ODIs, with 171 scalps in just 102 innings at an average of slightly under 26 and a strike rate of 31. India’s star batter Virat Kohli will look to score big in the final ODI to help India level the series.
