Another day has been completely dominated by team India and it has been a one-sided affair so far in the First test match. Brilliant centuries from debutant Yashasvi Jaiswal and skipper Rohit Sharma have helped India to a take healthy 162 runs lead over the West Indies at Windsor Park. India finished Day 2 with a score of 312/2, Jaiswal (143*) and Virat Kohli (36*) remained unbeaten at the end of the day. It has been a tough day for the Windies bowlers as they struggled to pick up more wickets.

Jaiswal and Rohit continued from where they left off on Day 1. Both openers stood tall and strong to attack the Windies bowlers. Both batters played some elegant and brilliant shots to find the boundary rope. The 21-year-old Jaiswal showed excellent maturity beyond his age and slammed a blistering century in his first test match.

Young Jaiswal became only the third Indian opener to score a Test hundred on debut. The left-handed batter added a record 229 runs for the opening wicket with his captain Rohit, who also scored a fine century. Rohit, who hit his 10th Test ton, became only the second batsman after Kohli to complete 3500 runs in all formats. Rohit (103) departed soon after scoring his hundred as Alick Athanaze somehow managed to break the partnership.

Much expected Shubman Gill failed to hang on in the middle for long and walked back for just 6. Although India lost just two wickets in the day, it was not easy to score runs freely on the Dominica track. Indian fans expect Jaiswal to slam a double-century on Day 3 and script history.
