Rinku Singh likes to join this franchise if not retained by KKR

Indian batter Rinku Singh is known for his aggressive style and hard-hitting abilities. Rinku rose to prominence after leading the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to victory in the IPL 2023 match by hitting five sixes in an over against Gujarat Titans’ Yash Dayal. He later made his international debut, scoring many match-winning runs for India. Rinku has played 23 T20 Internationals and two One-Day Internationals for India.

It would not be wrong to state that Rinku is one of India’s top finishers. It is quite likely that a mega auction will take place before the IPL 2025, with significant modifications to team makeup. Rinku was recently urged to choose a franchise if KKR would not retain him, as teams are only permitted to keep four or five players. Rinku snubbed both the five-time champions Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians and opted for Royal Challengers Bengaluru. RCB, because Virat Kohli is there, Rinku said.

Rinku and Virat have a strong friendship, and the two have been seen together on several occasions. Regarding his IPL career, Rinku was signed by Punjab Kings (formerly Kings XI Punjab) in 2017 but did not feature in a single game. KKR acquired him in 2018 and retained him till 2022. Rinku also spoke openly about his exclusion from the first round of the Duleep Trophy, citing his poor performance in domestic cricket as the primary cause.

Nothing, I didn’t perform that well (in the domestic season). I didn’t play many matches in the Ranji Trophy. I played 2-3 matches. I wasn’t selected because I didn’t play that well. I might get selected for next-round matches, said Rinku.
